Background
For over fifteen years at Hatchett & Hauck LLP, Mike Reeder has honed his skills as an environmental litigator in numerous cases before multiple federal and state courts and administrative tribunals. His approach to conflict resolution has been informed not just by the staunch representation of his clients, but also by previous experience as an attorney for the Indiana Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) and his time as a judicial clerk.
Emphasis
While Mike spends much of his time handling litigation and transactional matters, he also advises clients on insurance coverage questions and a wide assortment of administrative issues, among other environmental subjects. Mike's practice focuses primarily on cleanup and cost recovery actions, compliance counseling, defense of enforcement actions, property transfers, and natural resources issues. His clients include large corporate entities, smaller businesses, and individuals.
Experience
Prior to joining Hatchett & Hauck LLP, Mike served as an attorney for IDNR, where he advised and represented the Department on a wide range of natural resources and environmental issues. Mike began his legal career clerking for Judge Thomas J. Carroll from whom he obtained a unique perspective on trial process.

Involvement
Mike is a member of the Environmental Law Institute as well as the Indianapolis Bar Association (IndyBar), having served as Chair of IndyBar’s Environmental Law Section and volunteering on various IndyBar and Indianapolis Bar Foundation Committees. Outside of his environmental practice, Mike enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, the occasional round of golf, and running.
